Alumna Nancy Halpern Ibrahim to receive 2015 UCLA Award for Community Service

Congratulations to MPH alumna Nancy Halpern Ibrahim, who will be receiving the 2015 UCLA Award for Community Service! Ibrahim was the founding director of health programs for Esperanza Community Housing Corporation and serves as its current Executive Director. She designed Esperanza’s model Community Health Promoters Program, which generated pioneering community health collaboratives in the community. 

The award honors alumni who “have unselfishly and generously contributed their time and talents for the enrichment of others and the betterment of their communities.” Read more about her work here:
