FSPH at UCLA Volunteer Day

UCLA Volunteer Day is the nation’s largest community participation event for new students. Continuing students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, and community members can get involved by signing up to volunteer as a Task Captain or Service Liaison. FSPH hosts several public health specific sites each year.

FSPH Externships

The UCLA SPH Externship Program is a new program designed to provide students with opportunities to get an insider’s view of a career path that they would like to further explore by shadowing an alumnus. Although similar in concept to a traditional internship, the externship is not for academic credit and is a non-paid, short-term experience (3-5 days) for students in the MPH program during Spring Break. This enables students to reaffirm their interests in specific functions and/or fields of public health while making networking connections with alumni and others. For more information email Arlecia Powell-Halley at aphalley [at] ph.ucla.edu.
