Ignacio Ferrey is a single father, educator and advocate committed to community involvement and eliminating (health) disparities as they impact communities of color, specifically among Latino families, men and youth. His experience spans education, county health department, restorative justice and community-based organizations in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2005, Mr. Ferrey has worked at La Clínica de La Raza, Inc., a community health center serving three Bay Area counties. His responsibilities include restricted fund development for various health education, prevention and intervention programs, strategic planning, clinic expansion, and project management for quality infrastructure redesign and Latino male health. Bridging his passion for education, Mr. Ferrey has taught at City College of San Francisco in the Health education and Community Health Department and is a graduate and past Adjunct Trainer of the Coro Center for Civic Leadership. Mr. Ferrey is currently a participant in the Clinic Leadership Institute, whose goal is to build the next generation of safety net providers and leaders.
